Black Leather Loafers with gold trim

These are my second pair of black leather loafers, replacing a style I returned. They are very well made and stylish looking. They are also large on me, but I decided to keep them and make them work. I have tried them with one and two inner soles, and have also added heel grips. An older pair of loafers are also loose on me. Perhaps with some recent weight loss, I need to go down a size.
They just haven’t been instantly comfortable as all the previous shoes I’ve purchased have been.
