Disappointing description on website

Happy with shoes BUT disappointed that the website does not indicate whether a shoe is a normal or wide fitting. I asked the virtual assistant and response was 'Yes they are listed as a wide fit making them confortable option for broader feet'. I am wondering whether they will loosen up or return them. Ihave not worn them.
