Mogami Terra Mens Eucalyptus Birkoflor Sandals

I was seeking a Sandal that would support my feet well and allow beach trekking involving wetness and rocks. I was advised by podiatrist to buy Birkenstock due to my high arches but get a back strap - these were difficult and expensive to find on line but I gulped at the price and was pleased to find a pair in my size….but they have an extremely hard and unforgiving sole (I am a Birkenstock fan and have several of the cork top varieties and two of the EVA ones which I love). The sole on these manages to be hard on feet, jolting on joints and you feel every pebble and twig through the sole. Furthermore the lining on the straps is inadequate for serious walking - I have other shoes such as keen or Merry who have a wetsuit neoprene lining to the straps which is extremely comfortable. I have only worn these sandals once but they have rubbed me to a blister round my ankle bone area and on my toe area. Total waste of money and off to the op shop. I’m furious with Birkenstock.
