The Boatshoe made it's comeback a few seasons ago with a handful of designers tweaking the yachter staple - slowly dragging it away from it's preppy roots. Now in a wide array of colours and materials the boatshoe and it's variations can be worn away from the marina and into a more urban environment - looking great with anything from jeans, chino's and even camo shorts.
One of the newest looks out there - the dress shoe has copped a new attitude! Traditional dress shoe uppers have been given the casual treatment with chunky rubber soles - the result? Hybrid shoes - one part dress, one part casual: equal parts cool and stylish! The new hybrid shoe first popped up at Prada a couple of seasons back then also made it's way to the UK mens brand Grenson and from here the influence has spread. We love this look worn but up and down - dressing up jeans and chino's or giving your suit a little extra edge.
Dressing up has never looked so good - or so versatile. The influence of TV's "Mad Men" cannot be underestimated in the way that a more "pulled together" approach to dressing has gained momentum for guys. These dress shoes not only look super sharp when worn with a suit but they also take on a cool look when worn casually with a rolled cuff chino.
Invented by Clarks over 60 years ago, the humble desert boot has become a wardrobe staple and worn from everybody from English mods to Steve McQueen. It's appeal lies in the classic yet practical non fuss design, not to mention how comfortable these make them a must have in any guys shoe wardrobe. We have sought out additional variations on the classic design to make sure that whether you are wearing a suit (so Euro cool!) or jeans - we have the style for you!
